At the end of the 14th
century the Savelli Family ordered the construction of a main
gate. It was an important entrance to the town along the enclosure
walls. An ogival arch surmounted by the Savelli's Coat of
Arms: a shield, whose inferior part is crossed by three lines
and in the superior part there are two lions holding a rose and
over their heads there is a dove.
