The Convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie
This structure was built in the 13th century on a high bank, towering over the homonymous square. At the centre of the square there is a fountain made of an ancient roman granite basin, probably one of a pair, with its twin in P.zza Farnese in Rome.

This Convent was built according to the wish of the Cardinal Giovanni Colonna on the ruins of an ancient roman villa. According to a legend, the holy icon preserved in its interior representing the Madonna with the Bambino, was a present of San Francesco, when it crossed the town coming back from Palestine. Some relatives of the Colonna Family were buried in the crypt.
