This square is a point of junction
between the medieval buildings and the centre built during the
late Renaissance and it is one of the most wonderful architectonical
environments within Lazio.
The buildings on the square are: the town hall, the former
palace of justice, and the Church of San Lorenzo, whose façade
is decorated by stuccos and coats of arms and in its interior
there are paintings of Maratta and Antoniazzo Romano. On the
fourth side of the square there is a palace decorated with stuccos,
coats of arms and windows with ashlars.
