COLLI ALBANI
d.p.r. 6 august 1970 and followings

 Only white
  Normal, superior, new, and Spumante (sprinkling wine).
… area:
  Ariccia, Albano
 Part of Rome, of Pomezia, of Ardea, of Castel Gandolfo, of Lanuvio.
… vineyards:
  Malvasia Bianca di Candia up to 60% max
 Trebbiano Toscano, Trebbiano Romagnolo, yellow Trebbiano and Trebbiano di Soave, singly or in groups, from 25 to  50%. Malvasia del Lazio from 5 to 45%.

  Possono concorrere alla produzione anche le uve delle varietà di vitigni bianchi raccomandati o autorizzati per la provincia di Roma, fino al massimo del 10%, con l'esclusione della varietà Moscato.

COLLI LANUVINI

  Only white
  Normal and superior.
… area:
  Genzano.
  Part of Lanuvio.
… vineyards:
  Malvasia bianca di Candia and puntinata, up to 70% max
  Trebbiano (Toscano, green and yellow), not less than 30%.
  It is possible to use white grapes of other vineyards only if recommended and authorized by the Province of Rome
  and 10% max.

… colour:
  straw yellow.
… scent:
  vinous, delicate and pleasant.
… taste:
  sapid, harmonic bodied, velvety and as far as the residual sugars it is concerned, it can be dry, or sweet.
… alcohol:
  normal: 11% min
  superior: 12% min.

  Vinification has to be performed within the specific production area.


 
FRASCATI
d.p.r. 3 March 1976 and followings

… type:
  Only white
  Normal, Superior, New, Cannellino and Spumante (sprinkling wine).
… area:
  Frascati, Grottaferrata, Monte Porzio Catone.
  Part of Rome and of Montecompatri.
… vineyards:
  Malvasia Bianca di Candia, and Trebbiano Toscano, singly or in groups, not less than 70%. Greco and Malvasia del
  Lazio can also be used up to 30%. As far as the other vineyards producing white wines it is concerned,
  recommended or authorized by the Province of Rome, singly or in groups, up to 10%.
  No other aromatic vineyards can be used.

  normal: vinous, with a delicate scent
  superior: intense vinous, plenty of fruit, like the pressed grapes.
  Spumante: vinous, light and delicate with a characteristic scent
… taste:
  normal: sapid, soft, fine, velvety, and as far as the residual sugars it is concerned, dry or very dry, sweetish or
  cannellino.
  new: sapid, soft, fine, lightly acidulous, sometimes full of vitality.
… alcohol:
  normal: up to 11,00%
  superior: up to 11,50%
  new: up to 10,50%
  spumante: 11% min.

spumante:

… froth:
  sparkling.
… bubbles:
  fine and persistent.

  Vinification and bottling procedures have to be performed within the specific production area. This is a
  provision under actuation.


 
MARINO
d.p.r 6 Agust 1970 and followings

  Only white
  normal, superior, spumante (sprinkling wine).
… area:
  Marino and Ciampino.
  Part of Rome and of Castel Gandolfo.
… vineyards:
  Malvasia Bianca di Candia up to 60%; Trebbiano Toscano, Romagnolo, Giallo and Soave, singly or in groups,
  from 25 to 55%. Malvasia del Lazio from 5 to 45%.
  It is possible to use white grapes of other vineyards only if recommended and authorized by the Province of Rome
  up to 10%, except for the Moscat.

  vinous and delicate.
… taste:
  plenty of fruits; as far as the residual sugars it is concerned dry or sweetish or lovable and sweet.

MONTECOMPATRI-COLONNA o MONTECOMPATRI o COLONNA
d.p.r 29 may 1973 and followings

… type:
  only white; normal superior and spumante (sweet)
  normal, superior, new and spumante.
… area:
  Colonna
  Part of Montecompatri, of Zagarolo and of Rocca Priora.
… vineyards:
  Malvasia di Candia and Puntinata, up to 70% max
  Toscano, Green and Yellow Trebbiano not less than 30%
  It is possible to use also the Bellone and Bonvino up to 10%.

… scent:
  vinous, delicate and pleasant.
… taste:
  harmonic; as far as the residual sugars it is concerned it can be dry, very dry, and sweet.
… alcohol:
  normal: up to 11,00%
  superior: up to 11,50%.

WHITE - VELLETRI
d.p.r 21 march 1972 and followings

  white, normal, superior and spumante
  normal, superior, new and spumante.
… area:
  Velletri, Lariano;
  Part of Cisterna di Latina.
… vineyards:
  Bianca and Malvasia Puntinata, singly or in groups, up to 70%
  Trebbiano Toscano, Green Trebbiano, Yellow Trebbiano, not less than 30%
  It is possible to use the Bellone and Bonvino up to 10% max, singly or in groups.

characteristics:

… colour:
  straw yellow.
… scent:
  vinous, delicate and pleasant.
… tastes:
  full bodied, harmonic and velvety; as far as the residual sugars it is concerned, it can be dry, or sweet (type not to
  be considered for the spumante).
… alcohol:
  normal: 11% min
  superior: 11,50% min
  spumante: 11% min.

  Vinification has to be performed within the specific production area.

RED - VELLETRI
d.p.r. 31 march 1972 and followings

… type:
  red, normal and vintage.
… area:
  Velletri, Lariano;
  Part of Cisterna di Latina.
… vineyards:
  Sangiovese from 30 to 40%
  Montepulciano from 30 to 40%
  Cesanese Comune or Cesanese di Affile not less than 15%
  It is possible to use the varieties: Bombino nero, Merlot and Ciliegiolo up to 10%, singly or in groups.

… colour:
  ruby.
… scent:
  intense vinous, light (the aged one).
… taste:
  dry or sweet; velvety, harmonic, rightly tannic.
… alcohol:
  normal: 11,50% min.
  vintage: 12,50% min
  the Vintage has to be characterized by an aging period of two years at least.

  Vinification has to be performed within the specific production area.


 
ZAGAROLO
d.p.r. 29 may 1973

… type:
  only white, normal, or superior.
  normal, superior, new and spumante.
… area:
  Gallicano,
  Part of Zagarolo and of San Cesareo.
… vineyards:
  Malvasia (di Candia or Puntinata) up to 70% max
  Trebbiano (Toscano, Green and Yellow) not less than 30%
  It is possible to use the varieties Bellone and Bonvino up to 10%.

  vinous, delicate and pleasant.
… taste:
  soft, characteristic, harmonic; as far as the residual sugars it is concerned it can be dry or sweet.
